Class Description:
Interested in dipping your toe in the quilting pool, but still a little intimidated? Gain knowledge of quilting basics in this quick and easy beginner class. Using a basic stripe pattern, students will learn how to piece fabric, use batting, do top stitch quilting, and binding to make two 18"x12" placemats. Bring a splash of color to your home or give a thoughtful handmade gift!
Materials List:
Bring a variety of smaller scraps for a more colorful and interesting placemat! You will also need 1 yard of cotton solid fabric for backing and binding, ½ yard thin cotton batting, and matching thread. Fabric should be pre-washed on HOT to avoid shrinking in later washings.
